I just said to my four year old daughter, Jillian that we should turn on Disney Junior and she said, is it May 6? I love it. Even four year olds knew that today is the day!
As a Playhouse Disney Mom - now a Disney Junior Mom, I have been excited for several months about the launch of Disney Junior. We have even had a sneak peek of some of the exciting new shows we will all be able to watch now. "Let the magic begin at Disney Junior"
What will surely become (quickly) a fan-favourite is the new show Jake and the Never Land Pirates. This is the sneak peek I was speaking about, and it has been slowly growing on my daughter. If you know Jillian you would understand - she is all about princesses and is resistant to anything but. Over the course of a couple of weeks, she has become more accepting of Jake and the Never Land Pirates. While there is nothing wrong with loving the princesses, I am glad she can get past it and enjoy other great programming as well.Be sure to catch Jake and the Never Land Pirates at 9:30 AM and 7:00 PM (EST). You are going to find yourself transfixed by Jake and his crew. Don't worry if you find something familiar about the new show! It is inspired by the Disney classic Peter Pan.
If you're a hot dog, you will be on your feet singing along with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Did you know that many episodes are re-telling our favourite classics all starring Mickey Mouse!
There is going to be loads of Canadian content, including Franny's Feet, The Secret World of Benjamin Bear, and Stella and Sam. You will find that Disney Junior is a fun mix of classic and contemporary Disney favourites, tied in with learning and developmental themes.
Stay tuned for Disney Junior's short-form series. We have already had a taste of Mickey's Mousekersize, and joining him you will seeing Special Agent Oso: Three Healthy Steps.
Just in the short while we have had the new channel on, I've been loving my daughter watching with amusement and pointing out everything she is seeing which is new and exciting. Disney Junior is a commercial-free channel which is available in French and English to subscribers across Canada. Disney Junior is development-based programming for young kids.
Disney Junior is also available through Disney Junior On Demand and Disney Junior On line.
