DVD and Blu Ray arrived in stores May 17, 2011!
Nickelodeon has committed to bring back some classic shows - one being The Wild Thornberrys This highly and long anticipated release is surely to quickly become a favourite of old fans, as well as new. The Wild Thornberrys was on tv from 1998 until 2004, and continued to air in reruns until 2007. The Wild Thornberrys Season One is twenty episodes in a collectible 4 DVD set.
The hit series follows the Thornberry family as they travel the world in their Communications Vehicle (Comm Vee) looking for rare animals to film. After an encounter with an African shaman, their youngest child Eliza was given the power to speak to animals. Every episode in this adventure-packed DVD set follows Eliza as she comes face-to-face with an assortment of animals, continents and danger. Encounter wildlife in all its natural glory and eavesdrop on Eliza's conversations with silverback gorillas, pythons, crested grebes, tapirs, capybaras, antelopes and opossums while the Comm Vee travels on!
Upon receiving a review copy, Emily (who is 13) picked up the DVD set and said I remember this! She and my younger daughter, Jillian (4) settled in together to watch. I loved seeing them enjoy this DVD together.
The Wild Thornberrys is bright, really well animated, and it has great sound quality. Right away the viewer is drawn in with exciting plots and story lines. Each episode is one crazy adventure after another. We love that Eliza is able to speak to animals, how cool would that be? We are excited to own The Wild Thornberrys Season One, it is a great value for hours of family entertainment and fun, priced at a suggested retail of $29.93.
If you were a kid in the late 90's you'll remember and love The Wild Thornberrys and want to definitely add this to your DVD collection. If you are new to the series, you'll enjoy getting to know the Thornberry family and join in on their adventures.
