Paulina began working with her favourite material leather in 2000, when she decided to start making her own handbags. I have a question for everyone...have you ever owned a leather handbag? I have not, well, that is until just about two weeks ago. Without a doubt, I was offered a fantastic opportunity when Paulina Carcach contacted me about a review on Country Mouse, City Mouse. After hours spent drooling over the many available choices of handbags on her website, I finally made a choice for review.
Meet my new (and first ever) leather handbag...The Isabella Lambskin Hobo Bag.As with all the handbags from Paulina Carcach, the style of The Isabella is classic, a handbag which I will be able to carry for years to come. I choose burgundy for my colour choice, as I thought it would great for all four seasons.
When The Isabella arrived at my doorstep, I tore into the package to immediately smell the unmistakable smell of leather. I could breath in this bag all day long. Besides the amazing smell of genuine leather, I was smitten with the buttery soft feel of the handbag. So far all I had done was open the package and pull the bag out and I was already experiencing the difference of leather.
The Isabella has gold hardware, with buckles on the side and the designers logo on the front. The opening has a golden zipper pull as well as a snap at the closure. The gold is a gorgeous accent for the bag and adds to it's classic design.
Inside, The Isabella is fully lined and has great pockets on both sides of the bag, which I love for small item storage. The Isabella is an ample sized handbag, which is a great thing when one has three kids that are always asking me to hold things for them. An added bonus (which I love) was the matching key fob that came with the handbag.

I couldn't be more in love with The Isabella and proud to carry it. I know it looks fabulous and I love carrying it around getting compliments. And, you know, even though it is a mid-sized bag it doesn't seem bulky or heavy at all. I can tell that The Isabella is built to last and will cherish this handbag for years to come.
