Prairie Essence ~ Skin Care Products Naturally {giveaway}

Prairie Essence LLC is a company that cares about you and cares about the Earth that we all live in and share. The Earth has given all of us a great abundance of natural gifts for us to use and enjoy. But we must all do our part in protecting and maintaining these earthly treasures.

The melding of science and the love for the prairie and its unique botanicals is what is behind the creation of Prairie Essence products; products that promote healing and health of your skin. I was happy to have the chance to get better acquainted with Prairie Essence's family of products through a blog review. Over the course of the last couple of weeks I have been trying out some of Prairie Essence's new Fall and Winter products.

Like many of you, I am a lip balm addict...especially this time of year, my addiction slips into high gear! Prairie Essence sent me two of their lip balms to try out - Candy Corn and CocoMint.

These are handmade lip balms made with only natural ingredients.

Most of all I love the flavour of both of these lip balms, but, more importantly they do a great job of healing, protecting and moisturizing my lips. As fall turns to winter here in Ontario the need for a good, quality lip balm is a must. Prairie Essence lip balms will be a must-have in my pocket this year!


Prairie Essence has all natural artisan soaps, their soap is 100% vegan. I received Prairie Dusk Soap. It arrived packaged in a box which was made from reclaimed fiber. I used my soap at my kitchen sink, but, this soap would be wonderful for the bath as well. It has a wonderful aroma and is non-drying to my skin. I really enjoyed using my soap. I must invest in one of Prairie Essence's soap dishes to prolong the life of this great soap.

I will be back to Prairie Essence very soon to purchase more soap for gift-giving, their soap is the perfect little gift!

I tested out the first two products in pretty ordinary fashion, nothing unusual with they way I used either of those items. However, when it came to the third product I reviewed, I really put it to the test. You see, my physiotherapist has been taping my shoulder for the last couple of weeks. Basically, I have medical tape on half of my back from my shoulder to just above my waist, and I leave it on for three or four days out of the week. If you have ever had medical tape, you know that it is very itchy and drying to your skin. Even after the tape is pulled off usually your skin is rather red and nasty.

When my hubby pulled the tape off, I handed him Prairie Dusk Lotion to rub onto my back. It felt wonderfully soothing and smelled pretty nice too! Prairie Essence lotion is thick and moisturizing, that goes on smoothly and absorbs quickly and non-greasy. I am also using it on my hands, arms, legs...well anything that feels dry gets a shot of Prairie Dusk Lotion.

I loved all the products I received from Prairie Essence. Great quality, great preforming, and great priced products...take a look, you will be impressed too!
