Late July

Manufacturers and consumers need to take more responsibility for their actions and the choices they make. The foods we buy and ingredients we use should match our values. Too many manufacturers choose profits over corporate responsibility.

Helping Save the Planet ~ One Organic Snack At a Time!

For Late July, producing only USDA Certified Organic products is a vehicle to change the world. Late July is committed to an organic and sustainable lifestyle and to living their values through the supply chain ~ from the farm to the fork.

For our review Late July generously sent us a variety of their snacks to review and test in our home. Included were the Mini Sandwich Cookies, Classic Sandwich Cookies, and Classic Sandwich Crackers.

Our favourite was the Late July Organic Mini Sandwich Cookies. We received both varieties...white chocolate and milk chocolate.

The crowd went wild for these cookies, they don't just taste yummy...they are a good source of calcium and whole grain (but, don't tell the kids this) These cookies have endangered animals on the biscuit...such animals as the chimpanzee and the giant panda. While enjoying a tasty snack the kids were also learning about these precious inhabitants of this earth. I have long been a fan of the Jane Goodall Institute. Here is the great news about Late July sandwich cookies...they donate 10% of the profits to the Institute!

Our oldest daughter loves these so much that she even wanted to share them with her friends at school. But she didn't want to just share the cookies, she took the box to show them about the endangered species and how the Jane Goodall Institute was helping them. This right there makes a mommy proud!

Included in our box was also the Bite Sized Crackers, available in Organic Mild Cheddar, Organic White Cheddar and Peanut Butter. These are perfect on-the-go snacks for kids and adults alike. My kids have long been fans of these types of snack crackers. But, as a mom I feel so much better giving these to my children. Just take a look at the ingredient lists and compare!

Then, for mom there was snack packs of four full size cookies and crackers. Late July Dark Chocolate and Vanilla Bean. I love the grown-up taste of these cookies. But they are a good snacking choice too! These contain 4g of whole grains per serving and antioxidants. Produced without dangerous pesticides, no trans fats, no artificial flavours, colours and preservatives.
All of this is so important to me now, we have to take notice of what we are putting into our bodies and make the best possible choices, and now we don't have to give up the things we love!

All in all, I was very impressed with Late July's products. I love that it is a family-run company and I love the quality and goodness packed into their products. Don't be fooled by imitators...not all food products that claim to be organic are. Read your labels and make choices that are good for you and good for your family!

Canadians! We can now purchase Late July right here at home. Check your local stores and if they don't carry Late July... ASK!
